Milk production
Hi my baby didn't use to drink mother milk after birth. At that time I used to have milk production but it stopped when she didn't drink. Now she is 6 months old. Can I take Lactare medicine for milk production so that I can feed her as mother's milk is good.

Hi. It is not good time for milk production by mother . You can give her  cow milk or power milk .

Initial stimulation can help in lactation but now it’s unusual to have better milk production with the medication but still can’t try

Very unlikely but allowing your baby to suck the breast, Keeping the baby in lap while baby is crying for feeding And frequent breast pump use

After 6 months it’s difficult to initiate lactation. It would be a good idea to concentrate on starting solids and giving healthy nutritious meals.

Mother’s milk is best for child till 2yr age . You can take lactare medicine for milk. But it may not work. Also start weaning after 6th age

It is difficult to initiate lactation after a gap of six months after delivery. However there is no harm in trying.

Lactare tablet is to increase the milk production which is already there but in less quantity . The main stimulus for increasing milk is sucking by baby . It's difficult to have again milk production as you stopped it months back . If you are having some amount of milk secretion , then it may work .

Hi Usually after 6months , top feeds are recommended as breast milk alone may not suffice the nutrients to the baby. It would be preferable to concentrate on additional supplements to baby
