It’s important to address your concerns regarding Fluzin (5mg). Fluzin can sometimes cause dizziness or a feeling of lightheadedness as a side effect, especially when standing up, and in some cases, it can slightly lower blood pressure. However, how it affects your body can vary. The medication generally stays in the system for about 24 hours, but individual responses may differ.
Given your symptoms, it would be best for us to evaluate your condition further. I’d recommend scheduling a consultation so we can look into your symptoms in detail and adjust the treatment if needed.
Feel free to reach out so we can set up an appointment and ensure you receive the best care moving forward.
The medication you are taking can cause dizziness but not the appropriate symptoms you are facing. Migraine can not be treated but prophylaxis can be done to prevent further attacks . Avoiding triggers and some stress relieving medications that surely decrease migraine attacks . We have some specific medicines for severe attacks and the over all management dose drugs too. Most of our patients have shown quite positive response to proper treatments of migraine and surely it can be controlled .
Kindly consult a doctor before self treating migraine or starting/ stopping your daily dosage.

**Specialist Doctor’s Response:**
**Re: Migraine with Aura & Fluzin 5 mg Query**
Dear Patient,
Thank you for sharing your concerns. Fluzin (Flunarizine 5 mg) is commonly prescribed for migraine prevention, especially with aura. Here’s what you need to know:
1. **Low BP & Dizziness**: Flunarizine can cause mild hypotension (low BP) in some individuals, leading to dizziness, particularly when standing suddenly (postural dizziness). This aligns with your symptom. Monitor your BP if possible and rise slowly from sitting/lying positions.
2. **Duration in System**: Flunarizine has a long half-life (~18 days). Even after stopping, it may take weeks to fully clear from your system.
3. **Next Steps**:
- **Consultation Required**: Your persistent dizziness warrants evaluation to rule out other causes (e.g., dehydration, inner ear issues) and adjust treatment if needed.
- **Do NOT stop/change medication abruptly** without medical advice.
