Metrogyl gel alternative
I have been advised to take Metrogyl Gel for my tooth infection by my dentist. After applying the gel, there is an unpleasant taste sensation which lasts for quite some time. Is there any alternative medicine to prevent this? I am a 45 year old male.

Metrogyl has active ingredient as metronidazole which is metallic in taste & hence quite unpleasant. Apply the gel for a small period of time say for 5 minutes & then rinse with a pleasantly flavoured mouthwash to get the bitterness out.make sure you are using the gel which is prescribed for oral use only.Rexidin-m gel is a good option to choose
Next Steps
if the problem still persists, visit your dentist
