Mental trauma
I am 17 yr old girl .. i was sexually assualted when i was 11 .. my parents are unaware about it..i faced a lot of mental trauma during that time..i had confessed about it to my school teacher who then referred me to a school counsellor.. i was counselled for about a year n it had helped me a lot.. but i am just not able to get out of it completely..i get nightmares.. n flashbacks of it..i feel very uncomfortable wen an man touches me..regardless of my own dad.. i feel helpless..pls help

Hello dear,
Childhood sexual abuse (CASA) can have profile effects on the developing brain and mind. The after effects that you are encountering are suggestive of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). In the background of above information I would suggest that you please seek a consultation with a Psychiatrist or a clinical psychologist near you. A structured therapy and mediation should be able to help you and bring the best out of you.
