Hi!! I am 18 The second i get on my period, i feel like the energy has been drained from my body . Also i have menstrual cramps for probably an hour on the onset of period. I have heard that during these days we should not consume dairy products so i avoid tea or coffee . Is it right?.if yes then how to get relief???

Hello! No I disagree...coffee n tea by no means aggravates menstruals cramps.I would suggest u the following : 1) U can take Tablet PMS fine twice a day for 3 months Or tablet prementrid 2) during ur periods for the 1st day u may tablet Meftal spas three to four times a day(It's safe and does not affect the period regularity in anyway at all) 3) Avoid taking too much salt before and during ur periods 4) Take a lot of water,fresh fruits and nuts to feel more energetic. 5) I would suggest u to get a CBC done(complete blood count) to rule out anemia(reduced haemoglobin) If haemoglobin is less pls start an iron tablet. 6) locally u can use a hot water bottles and drink hot liquids for pain relief
