Quadriceps Exercises- Lie straight, make a towel role and put it under the knee, press the keen against the role, hold it for 20 secs. Repeat 20 times twice a day. This will help relieve some pain. Core Strengthening Exercise- Straight Leg Raised With Toes Turned Outward, repeat 10 times, twice a day. Hams Stretching- lie straight, take the leg up, pull the feet towards yourself, with a elastic tube or normal belt. repeat 10 times, twice a day. knee support is essential for initial period to give rest to the knee, so that healing of ligaments can take place. after the initial period, the knee should be reassessed, since you have tear of meniscus, which may need arthroscopy. After the initial few weeks of rest to the knee joint, you can gradually increase your activity level, including exercising, walking, standing. you will need to do quadriceps and hamstring exercises as well. but reassessment is definitely important, and equally important is to have a look at your mri scan and report

You should avoid all the exertions in standing and avoid crossing or folding your legs, no walking, use knee brace.you can do weight lifting only when you are in sitting posture .
Next Steps
go for physiotherapy..ultrasonic therapy for healing, tens for muscle relaxation and wax therapy for reducing inflammation may required . take rest. then the exercises are to be done and very much important.
Health Tips
at home: give rest to the knee, use the brace, avoid full weight bearing to the injured knee and hot water fomentation and some painkiller gel are temporarily helpful.

Hi. If you have a partial meniscus tear wait for 6 weeks for any workouts or brisk walk even. Gym workouts in sitting without loading that knee is fine and can be done. Ensure body weight loading is not too much on that knee . at the same time safeguard the other leg too . Folding the leg up to 90/degree of knee flexion would usually be painfree and can be done. Avoid long sitting and sitting in the floor Standing and walking up to 30/minutes should be ok . but again if pain starts within this stipulated time rest it. Pain is a great indicator to help you do activities . do not push it
Next Steps
keep ice packs on the knee 3-4 times a day . will help it a lot
Health Tips
avoid pushing it when it pains. ice the knee before and after workouts . emphasize on good warmups and cool downs. should pain persist consult the Ortho or a physio immediately .
