Memory, concentration, processing issues

I have severe memory issues like i forget routes, i forget details  or don't have full attention to details,i have difficulty understanding what someone is telling or talking to me. I forget every work or duty assigned to me by my seniors at work. I am writing wrong notes at wrong place in the files. So, these kind of things keep happening to me daily.  Also i have zero concentration in studies. When i try to study or try to focus on studies, I can't concentrate, also get lost in random thoughts like what happened during the day, what i watched in the movie, etc. As i read forwards while reading, i keep forgetting the previous words and sentences like my brain is not registering what i am reading. I don't have full attention into words which i read. I was put on atomoxetine because my doctor thought it may be ADD. I have no childhood issues with ADD, it developed all of a sudden after alcohol intake when i was 19 yrs of age. Do you think its ADD? Is it better to take atomoxetine?
