Medicine potency for abdom tuberculosis.
My Medicine specialist has suggested me 450mg rifampicin from second month whereas in the first month 600 mg rifampicin with other medicine has been given. My doubt is whether lowering the potency of the medicine from second month make TB drug resistant ? My weight is 50kg.

Hi, Since these ATT comes in a fixed dose combination and rifampicin is given at a dose of 10 mg per kg body weight. 450mg would be fine for your weight. Apart from that your LFT reports also need to be monitored.
