Hi, Thanks for your msg! Medicines should be the last resort when you find other strategies not working for you. First and foremost you should act immediately in order to prevent excess weight gain. And the next step is to lose weight. You need to eat less and work more. These are the basics. 1. Considering your age, I would rather suggest you to try reducing your weight through diet, proper physical activity and adequate sleep. 2. Physical activity should become a part of your lifestyle. At least 30 minutes of walking is essential. 3. It is recommended that you consult a qualified dietitian to assist you in your diet plan. - Drink adequate amounts of water, at least 2-3 litres everyday. - Timely spaced meals will help you to prevent from overeating. - Slow paced eating, at least 20-25 minutes for every meal will help you to become more conscious and thereby you eat less calories. - Firstly have a glass of water before every meal, this will help you to reduce the amount of carbs that you ingest. - Make sure there is at least one source of protein in every meal. 4. Act quickly to prevent any health complications.

First and foremost you must understand losing your weight is a very gradual process. You should have strong determination and patience if you want to lose weight. And it cannot happen suddenly. Losing too mich suddenly is also not good for health. You have to follow a strict diet and exercise schedule. Regarding diet - have small multiple meals instead of 3 big meals, eat food rich in proteins and fibres like egg white boiled chicken vegetables fruits pulses, avoid carbohydrate rich foods like rice curds oily foods sweets ghee and other junk food. Regarding exercises - start slowly with brisk walking, then change over to jogging, running and other abdominal exercises. Never over strain yourself. And always keep yourself well hydrated and enjoy whatever you do...consult dietitian they will do the needful.
