Persistent coughing, loss of appetite, CT Scan confirmed multiple cavity in lung. Major in left upper lobe... Endoscopy scheduled for tomorrow..
Past medical history
Diagnosed tuberculosis in 2015 Jan. Undergone 9 months course twice and 2016 Nov test confirmed. Cured!
Want to know what you think about my dad current situation... he is struggling with continuous cough and loss of appetite... Local doc suggested endoscopy tomorrow since sputum test confirmed no infection... However chest CT scan taken 2 days ago confirmed multiple cavities. Pl's advise. I want to help my dad cure out of this.

Without having a look at CT scan it may not be possible to give a correct diagnosis. However he needs to be investigated to rule out tubercular infection( which seems unlikely if the initial diagnosis of TB was confirmed and he has taken drugs regularly), other nontubercular infection. He will definitely require endoscopy/ bronchoscopy, possibly CT guided biopsy of lung lesions. It will be better if he is managed by super specialist in chest diseases who is DM in pulmonary medicine or at least by an MD in pulmonary medicine
