A hard lump 1.5 cm at the base of skull on the occipital lobe ...itchiness..mild pain...noticed 6 months ago...now slight enlarged....having throat infection for a long time....worried...

I don't think you are having any mass lesion in brain ! do you mean swelling in the scalp in the occipital are ? if yes it must be simple lipoma or sabaceous cyst. you need to undergo fine needle aspiration cytology of swelling as well as ct scan or ultrasound of the swelling depending on diagnosis treatment is given if you really mean mass lesion in brain then consult a neurosurgeon
