Lumbar canal stenosis
Mother having problem of "lumber canal stenosis"she can't walk more than 300metrs and can'nt  be standup for more than 5-10min. she were taken pain killer injection for last 3yrs in every 6-8month.now injection not responding in pain relief. Doctor has suggested below prescription now. Pregabid 50mg (2times) Dupact 40mg (1time) Mecobal of 1500mg(1time) Transcript (SOS) is it safe or will be there any chance of  improvement thru this medicine. Should I go for surgery is it safe in this age ? MRI report attached.

I think she had got a fair trial of conservative treatment till now and now not getting relief .option of surgery should be considered now . But only the treating doctor can tell after assessing her clinically.
