Low Haemoglobin in pregnancy
My wife is 20 weeks pregnant (Age 26 Height 5'45" weight 78.8kgs) and has haemoglobin as 10.9 gm/dl where as the normal range is 12-15. She is already taking iron tablets as per doctors advice from a month. We need to wait for more 12 days for doctors appointment, does these levels effect baby ? What we need to resolve this issue ? I've seen in google that eating pomogrenate , dry fruits , leafy vegetables, apples, beetroot, carrots might increase haemoglobin production is it true ? She was eating all the above said fruits regularly from the start of pregnancy then why haemoglobin levels are still low ? I have attached Haemogram Report.
