Loosening of dent Implant

6 months ago my mom went through a dental implant surgery. Total 8 implants were planted. And a denture of 12 teeth was fixed on it permanently. But last week suddenly the cement used to fix the denture started shading off and whole denture got dismantled. Our doc says its due to the micro movements of any single implant. That caused all the implants to move frm their axis. And hence all the implants will hv to b removed and new implants wud b fixed with a newly made denture. Pleas help me that what shud i do. Coz removing the implants is a very painful process and the local anaesthesia is not working. Is there any other option to avoid the removal of the implants???

It seems either you have understood the dentist wrong or there is a medical condition. Removal of implants which are fully osseointegrated in bone generally is not required until there are gross prosthetic issues. Consult the same dentist again to understand what he said and then also take a second opinion from another after taking an OPG

I am guessing the doc said : he is going to replace the attachments on the implant (and not the implant in the bone). Because the previous denture used up attachments over implants, new denture will need new attachments. To place back attachments is not painful, soft tissue anesthesia is sufficient.

Most commonly with multiple implant supported prosthesis it would be a screw that unwinds or becomes loose over a period of time due to the forces acting on it, so it might require a certain amount of torquing. But you also mention that the all implants have to be removed, so best way to ascertain the problem would be to look at the OPG xray(CBCT would be ideal). You alternately opt for bone augmentation. Is your mom a diabetic or on any medication?
