Loose stools
Hi doctor, I'm having loose motions since Wednesday. Haven't taken any medication or gone to any doctor as it has not become very serious. Only if I intake food I get stomach irritation and get loose stools. I'm not following any particular diet. Please let me know if I can take econorm for this. If so, what's the dosage?

You could be having Giardiasis or amoebiasis which rarely subside without medications. I suggest you visit a physician and in the mean time take econorm thrice a day.

Hi there...I can understand your concern. If loose stools is not severe, then you can manage with probiotics like lactobacillus (tablet vibact. Twice daily for 5 days). Take plenty of fluids including ORS. Avoid spicy foods and junk foods completely. Eat only home cooked food and curd rice. However if it doesn't subside in 2 to 3 days or if the frequency of loose stools increase, then consult a general physician for further evaluation. You might need oral antibiotics
