Loose gums are because of bone loss and if not treated on time the teeth will get mobile and have to remove them. So consult with a PERIODONTIST for your problem as the treatment includes deep cleaning, root planing, bone grafting etc....
Next Steps
Visit a dentist as soon as possible.

Loose gums may be due to bone loss and deposits collections between teeth and gums. First proper scaling and cleaning should be done and if required gum surgery is required.
Lasers can be used for gum curettage surgery and its safe and painless and bloodless. Laser facility is available at many advanced dental clinics.

Your wife has periodontitis which occurs due to deposits on teeth. For treatment get appointment from periodontist. Laser can be used for treatment but laser available with most dentist is soft tissue laser which does not remove deposits on teeth which is main culprit. If it is hard tissue laser then great otherwise flap surgery is best treatment for periodontitis cases if pockets does not resolve after initial mechanical therapy as scaling root planing.
Hi, It seems quite clear that your wife will need a consultation with a Periodontist to evaluate and suggest the appropriate treatment. Today LASER is used in many such conditions to create an infection free environtment and help healing. Since you asked- yes we do have 2 inhouse periodontists and do use LASER as well. Hope she gets the right solutions. Best wishes.

loose gum condition is known as periodontitis in dental terminology, it caused by bone loss which is covered by root portion of teeth. if you delay that type of problem you will suffer in future because it may leads to loss of all teeth...
