For male ,its condom, so no time limit. Its safe to use. For female: contraceptive tablets should not use long. Now a days very small doses of hormones r there but better not to take more than 10 yrs. Longterm contraceptive like intrauterine devoces r good.

For male, condoms can be used lifelong. There are no side effects. For female on OCPills, the side effects depend on doses os hormones in the pills. Its better to be under care of a obgyn, and do periodic check ups of blood pressure, liver function tests etc Usually a break of 3-6 months from OCPills is recommended by some doctors every 3_5 years. But in these breaks, other contraceptive must be used

Hi, for female in particular oral contraceptive causes scanty bleeding during periods, which becomes almost nil by end of about 3 years. So if your obstetric carrier is incomplete, should not take for longer duration. One more rare thing, but happening is hypertension, some times leading to coma even.l saw two patients in my carrier. For male condimentum is good. For female , copper T is best after 1 baby. If using condimentum it usually should be used with Today vaginal tab for assured contraception.
