1. Less activity is your choice, won't have any problem in future. 2. Can live. With ACL deficient knee with restrictions. 3. Do static and dynamic quadriceps exercises.

It’s advisable to get the surgery done for ACL + meniscus injury..sothat you can do all the activities fearlessly..though you can live with torn ACL but it also has its own disadvantages in future..so better fresh MRI and surgery..

Answer 1 - You can continue with less activity but there is a high possibility of Early Osteoarthritis of knee joint..  Answer 2 - You can live with ACL tear all your life.. but the only problem will he that you will not be able to do any activities which involve running or excessive load over knee joint.. plus there is a high possibility of knee developing early degenerative changes of  osteoarthritis Answer 3 - You can go for Quadriceps and Hamstring strengthening exercises. Plus you can wear a Hinge Knee Brace for support..  You can look for videos online..
Next Steps
It is always better to get it operated early. It's already 6 years post injury now. You can get a repeat MRI of knee joint to see the current status of the ligaments and plan accordingly..
