Repeat a bilateral lower limb venous doppler immediately. If he is on anticoagulation already, and has recurrent dvt then need to uptitrate doses of anticoagulation or switch to newer anticoagulant. For recurrent DVT , thrombophilia profile to be tested and option of IVC filter to be considered.

When was the DVT diagnosed ? Was it provoked or unprovoked? Do you take oral anticoagulant? It might be post thrombophlebitis syndrome or recurrent DVT? DO B/L VENOUS DOPPLER
