Late periods
Hello doctor, can stomach infection cause periods to delay? I got stomach infection on 24th January. I did not have loosies that time and i thought it was getting better but then on 30th january I had severe stomach pain and then loosies and a lot of fluids. Since then I am having loosies except yesterday and today. My periods were due on 5th February but it seems like its two days late now. Is it because of my stomach infection bcs i have a fairly regular cycle of 30 days. How long can it be late?

One or 2 delay is not a problem. Wait for 2-3 days more and then consult a gynaecologist

Hello, Stomach infection does not affect your period cycle. Wait for 5 more days for your periods to come. If they do not come then visit a gynecologist for further evaluation. You can also visit my clinic International Fertility Centre located in New Delhi for further evaluation.
