Hi there.. Delayed periods could be because of many causes like Significant weight gain or loss,Overexercise,Poor nutrition, anemia, hypothyroidism, Smoking,Eating disorders like anorexia nervosa,Increased stress, Polycystic ovarian syndrome. Delayed periods wit less flow is commonly because of anemia(less hemoglobin)I suggest you get your ultrasound abdomen pelvis and hemoglobin and tsh test done once. Have more iron rich foods like green leafy vegetables, pistachios, dates.Consult gynecologist once.. irregular periods with/without heavy flow, acne, excess of facial and body hair(hirsutism), dark pigmented dry skin around neck( acanthosis nigricans) if al these there then could be due to pcod.. to get periods take tablet medroxyprogesterone acetate 10mg for 5 days morning n night then within next 5days you ll get your periods.
