I fallen down from stairs and ever since my knee is aching went to holy family hospital in emergency twice. Once they said theres a doubt of fracture and send me home with knee mobilizer and medecines after two days i visited the emergency again as due to accessive knee pain the xrayed me again and asked and said theres no fracture and did knee aspiration and extracted blood from my knee.
From day one I am not able to put my lest leg on the ground nor i can walk and moce little bit with the help of a stick. I doubt xrays are not detecting anything and theres somthing major going inside my knee.

Best is to go for an MRI for better diagnosis and treatment.Till then so some ice packs twice a day+apply some pain killer gel at home. Take rest and use knee cap+avoid weight bearing. After MRI you should consult a physiotherapist/an orthopaedician for the right treatment .

Hi,
You might have either sprained or bruised muscles.
First of all keep applying ice every few hours, have leg elevated and avoid taking much weight on it
It would be advisable if you visit an orthopaedic first
Put a crepe bandage around the knee to avoid unnecessary movements
If x rays do not show a fracture, there may still be injury to ligaments & meniscus inside the knee. You should urgently get an MRI scan to confirm diagnosis. Treatment can be planned thereafter. Delay in diagnosis cause poor recovery.
