Asked for Male, 27 Years

Met with an accident and visited orthopedician he told me that there may be injury to lcl ligament and suggested me wear 1 month crepe bandage gave me some medicines for pain relief. Suggest me whether is it compulsory to go surgery for lcl liagment tear or if I wear knee brace for 1 month will it get cured.
