Klebsiella Pneumoniae in pregnancy
Hi,
I am in 21week pregnancy. I was detected with UTI on 17th August and was prescribed ceftum 500 mg twice daily for 5days. I still had symptoms so did a retest on 26th August.
The culture and sensitivity again shows same bacteria and same count.
Now I am suggested to take amoxyclav 625 twice daily for 5days. Is it safe to take this in pregnancy and that too twice in pregnancy? The medicine label itself says unsafe in pregnancy for amoxyclav 625.
Kindly advice. Reports attached.
