Itching continously
Hi , my brother has continuously itching sensation from past 15 days and it increases in evening.Visited local doctor he told it's scabies. Is it infectious? And not reduced yet?

from your history the diagnosis of scabies looks fine as scabies is associated with night itching and lesions mainly over the axilla, finger web spaces and groin. for your second query yes its contagious and it may spread in the following ways: 1.prolonged skin-to-skin contact, such as holding hands 2. intimate personal contact, such as having sexual intercourse 3.sharing clothing, bedding, or towels that have been used by someone with a scabies infection . Also another point in consideration is Scabies mites can live for 48 to 72 hours after falling off your body, so you need to take certain precautions to prevent re-infestation. Make sure to wash all of the following in hot water that i.e clothing, bedding,towels,pillows and These items should then be sun dried and hot iron done specially taking care of craeses
