Issue on Height, weight of 21 month old
My son is now 21 month old. His current weight is 8.8 kg Current height is 79 cms He was born at 38th week 1 day SGA low birth weight BW: 2.28 kg BH: 45 cms He looks very lean for his age and also small. His appetite is good, ears everything. His activities and milestones are always up to date from his birth. No delays. But yes he hasn't started to talk yet, he still uses 1-2 words dats it. I am his mom measuring a height of 156 cms(5.1 inch) tall My husband is measuring a height of 158 cms. My pregnancy was healthy without any major complications jus had a mild placenta prévia. But my Gynac never complained anything serious on that. As per the pediatrician (immediate after the birth) told me after seeing my pregnancy reports that during my 7th month the growth of the baby declined till birth. But never my gynac had any concern on this. I want to know how to take measures to make my son on the track? Do I need to go for endocrinologist for GH treatment? How to treat my son??

I congratulate you mother on giving such an elaborate history! As u mentioned he was born small for gestation therefore his weight may be correlated to his graph since birth. Still for his age he is not in range of malnutrition. If all other milestones are good as per age .There is nothing to worry about for now.

I think you should concentrate now on speech problem rather than weight and height. Go for complete developmental assessment with your pediatrician. Rule out autism. Ht and wt are little less which is common as he had low birth weight at birth. Take diet advise for that.
