Irregular periods
Hi, I am an Indian studying abroad. I ad been experiencing irregular periods and spotting until november 2016. I consulted a local p ysician w o put me on 2 mont s of birt control. Towards t e end of t e dosage I missed taking t e pills for two days and got my periods, w ic lasted almost a week.T ere was some amount of tissue t at came out wit t e bleeding. I wanted to know if t e birt control would ave reset my ormones and if I s ould expect a regular cycle ere on ? I ave also been trying to lose weig t for about 3 mont s and my weig t loss as not been proportional to t e amount of effort put in . I wanted to know if t ere is any medication I can take for t e same.

At present you are taking the right medication so please take that. Never missed pill because these are actually hormonal pills. Gradually this treatment will reset you cycle. Check your TSH and Vitamin D level. Consult endocrinologist for further intervention.
