Hello. Your not too obese according to your height. Your having thyroid problem ,Hypothyroidism is one of the cause for weight gain. Proper medication is required to maintain normal harmonal level. Shed weight gradually ie around 1-2 pounds per month. Avoid oily foods ,take low carbohydrates , high fiber containing diet. Exercise daily .Effort should be continues and persistent.
