You can give iron supplements to the baby. Supplements with ferrous ascorbate is better tolerated like ferikind -m Or syp ferroate. Dose is dependent on weight. Preventive dose of iron is 3mg/kg/day , for eg, if your baby is 10 kg, dose will be 5 ml once a day.

give iron supplements in between meals.

iron supplements can turn baby's poop to be slightly blackish in color which is normal.
