Inverted/flat nipples - baby not feeding
Hi Doctor, I had baby on 4th of Nov via C section, I have flat and inverted nipples. Baby is not able to latch to nipples and breast is hard and painful now. What should I do so that baby can latch and can drink milk?

You can use nippleshield or get a breast pump. It will help with inverted nipples. Breast is hard and painful because of engorgement. You need to frequent pump the milk and empty the breast. Slowly introduce nipple to the baby and baby will latch on quickly.

U need to do hot fomentation and express breast milk for inverted nipples you can use breast pump or do syringing

Do hot fomentation over breast and pump the breast milk. Pumping will also help you in eversion of nipples. U can do pumping/syringing before every feed.

First, try to express breast milk with the help of a breast pump. Otherwise it can lead to infection. You can use a syringe suction to evert out the nipple. A local health care provider can guide you with that.
