Is avastin is safer n advisable to use more than accentrix?? Does avastin also have same mechanism of action like accentrix???

A. Avastin is equally effective as accentrix but it is not FDI approved and so indian government has issued guidelines for its use
B. I personally opine that this is wonder drug for poor countries like India and probably for rich countries also
Regarding safety,both injections are equally safe but on paper, as per law, there are some guidelines for safe use of avastin.
Many ophthalmologists are now preferring accentrix to avoid legal problems

Hi,
Avastin and Accentrix have same mechanism of action.
Both are efficacious and the difference lies in its FDA approval for ophthalmic use. Accentrix is FDA approved while Avastin isn't.
Extra precautions are therefore exercised by retinologist before administering Avastin. It is usually preferred in non affording or patients with financial constraints or those requiring multiple dosing.
