Please let your dentist know about the problem you are facing. Causes of pain can be many including ineffective anesthesia, which only your operating dentist can determine.

Hi. Pain in tooth during RCT can be due to various reasons like residual infection, missed canals, perforations, excess of bmp, height of crown if not reduced optimally, medication dosage is not sufficient etc. For time being take antibiotics and pain killers. Consult your dentist soon. Regards Sunshine Dental Care

Tell your doctor that pain in unbearable so that he can use alternate techniques of anaesthesia. Please take several sittings but don't get the treatment done in pain. You do not deserve to bear pain.

Hi ! Kindly request your dentist to carefully examine the tooth again for any residual infection. You may please request your dentist to change the dressing that he gives you after treatment eg. calcium hydroxide dressing can provoke or evoke pain in tooth with bleeding canal. Make it sure that your tooth has been reduced in height whilst the RCT is carried out. Your pain condition can be a outcome of many factors that could only be identified by the examination. Seek your dentist's appointment ASAP.
Health Tips
meanwhile dont heat too hot and spicy food. Warm rinses with salty water(Saline) might help too. Don't give hot packs to the painful tooth region as it may induce swelling or spread of infection to spaces. Ice packs may be helpful.

Please contact your dentist as early as possible to get rid of the pain. If pain persists even after giving anaesthesia during the procedure, please inform your dentist the same and ask him to give another shot.

Inform your dentist and ask for more anaesthesia when he/she is working on tooth. Avoid eating from that side and take prescribed antibiotics and pain killers; avoid hot beverages. Generally it's a painless procedure. Always speak your mind to a doctor; they are here to help not to cause any pain but please ask.
