More than trying to find out what food or drink to take, my suggestion is to find out what is that you are doing that is making your sugar go down in the middle of the night. It is likely that some of medications that you are taking or the type of insulin you are on might be the culprit. Let me know what medications you are on and I can give you further advise. In case of hypoglycaemia any time , best thing is to have is some sugary drink such( any cold drink). You can have 150- 200ml and wait for 10 minutes before checking your sugar level again. Thanks
