How to tackle side effects of Reclimet
My father has diabetes from last 7 years. He was taking semi reclimet till now and exercising regularly. However, 2020 made him quite lazy and his sugar level increased so doctor recently moved him to reclimet. He is experiencing a lot of side effects of the medicine, like nausea, vomiting sensation, headache, dizziness, etc. which is making it very tough for him to maintain his exercise and diet routine. Please suggest how can we tackle these side effects of reclimet.

The side effects you mention can be related to reclimet itself as well related to low blood sugar levels, which can be result of higher dose of reclimet. There are newer drugs available which are very strong/ potent and effective and cause lesser side effects than reclimet
Next Steps
Please send copy of blood glucose readings and schedule consultation to discuss medication changes and treatment of side effects
