How to quit thumbsucking?
My child has this habit of thumb sucking. I want to know what is the main reason that they do it? Even if he is well fed, he would not stop doing it. Should we use pacifiers? How to make him quit it permanently?

Most of the times the child sucks the thumb when hungry/sleepy/bored. Ensure that these situations are avoided - he's distracted. Please do not use pacifiers. Consciously keep reminding him to not do it. There are gadgets available which will help eventually if all these do not work. Please consult your Dentist if required later.
