My baby girl is just 2 years old and has black spots in her tongue. It is almost like a strawberry. Does it indicate any illness? Will she get fever? Is it to do with any gastric issue? What should be done to get rid of these black spots? When should I take her to doctor?

Brown or black dots on the babyâs tongue can appear because of several reasons:
-They are more likely spots of babyâs pigmentation, usually inherited from the darker-skinned parents;
-They are small blood clots from irritation;
-They appear after taking iron vitamins and supplements;
-They are stains from the growing bacteria.
It would be advisable to take her to the paediatrician so that it can be examined and the underlying cause detected and the appropraite treatment given
