How long should I put mometasone furoate

I have been suffering from excessive redness due to application of skinlite cream for two days on my face. My dermatologist prescribed me momivate cream which contains 0.1% w/w mometasone furoate. Can I put this cream on over night? Can this cream lead to acne (my skin is so oily and acne prone). Please try to solve my problem as soon as possible.
