Homocysteine
Hi. Recently I got my blood test done from Thyrocare. In the report my Homocysteine value as come greater than 65. I don't smoke, don't drink and don't eat red meat. I eat chicken twice a week and rest of the week it's more of home cooked vegetables, chapatis and dal. I eat twice or thrice a week outside. What could be the cause of increase in the value of Homocysteine? What effect this increase can have on my heart or body ? Also I am taking Telemekind-H medicine , 1 tab in the morning for BP past 10 years and Lipikind -F , 1 tab at night for cholesterol past 3 years. Is this increase in Homocysteine is due to these medicines or something else? Kindly suggest what measures I should take to bring my Homocysteine value to normal? Thanks
