Holes in the heart

One month old baby has holes in the heart, ASD and VSD's, is it major or minor? doctor told those holes will get closed on its own,is there any treatment for that,if it won't recover on its own? after the treatment ,will he be normal like other kids? what happens if he is not going to recover? how can we try to save him? is there anything that we could do from our end? who is the best doctor for this issue?

We need to see what type of ASD. VSDs if multiple, what location. Status of pulmonary hypertension. Small VSDs with high gradient across, do tend to close by preschool age. But if there is failure to thrive or gain weight or not able to feed well, you need to see a dedicated pediatric cardiologist / pediatric cardiac surgeon team
