High Fever and delusional

Asked for Female, 17 Years

Last night my sister suddenly woke up from sleep with high fever and then vomited and she was saying weird stuffs which we couldn't understand. She didn't recall anyone of us. We took her to the hospital and they said to take her back home and give her a sleeping pill, which we did and she slept but after she woke up it's still all the same.

Sorry to hear about your sister's situation. Our brains can tolerate only certain amount of body temperature and if the temperature increases drastically for various reasons, people can go into what we call altered sensorium, where they can present with symptoms similar to your sister's. It is important to get fever evaluated by physician and appropriate treatment given. Best wishes.
