High bp in young age
Dear sir, I am 28 years old have blood pressure of 130/80. I regularly do Pranayam. Can i do push ups and surya namaskar? It will decrease my bp to normal or increase my bp? Kindly reply in detail

Hi. For a 28 year old your BP should be around 120/80 or less. Having said that regular exercise does help in bringing down your resting BP and is advised in prehypertensives (people who are between 120-140 and 80-90 range of BP) along with healthy diet. During exercise of course your BP will go up as that is the normal appropriate physiological response. Your BP is accepatable to do the exercises you mentioned. It will help keep your resting BP in control So yes, regular exercise done religiously over months, along with healthy diet, clean habits will help bring your BP in control to some extent.
