Head Lice in adults

I was exposed to head lice today. I am a hairstylist. I was wearing a wig while doing this woman's hair and I found head lice. I need to know if I contacted head lice from her? If my wig has head lice does that mean my hair has head lice as well? Can it be contacted from touching her hair then touching my hair?
