You need to reduce weight. If diabetic then follow the same routine. Main thing is reduce weight. If not diabetic but only insulin resistance then also you need to reduce weight

Dear Sir,
First of all, congratulations on your efforts! Bringing your HbA1c down from 7.2% to 6.6% without medications is a great achievement and shows that your diet and exercise are working well.
An HbA1c of 6.6% falls in the prediabetes to early diabetes range. At this point, many patients can continue lifestyle changes without starting medicine, especially if there are no other risk factors like high cholesterol, high blood pressure, or family history of heart disease.
However, since your weight is 87 kg at a height of 172 cm (BMI ~29.4), you are in the overweight range, and reducing at least 5–7% of your current weight will further improve your sugar levels.
Hba1c by hpcl in standard lab is preferred so check it in std lab and not by rapid test, good if you reduced it from 7+ to less but your weight is still high for height suggest abdomen girth high around 98 to 100
Next Steps
Reduce waist and hip ratio, do fasting PP and occasional random sugar also.
Health Tips
check fasting lipid, thyroid , ophthalmology and note sugar lead to opth problem, kidney, erectile problems which should be watched for
That’s depend upon your fasting and pp levels . If you still can control with diet and exercise then continue but monitor is needed. So check next month and if it increases then take medication
