Hair loss woes
I have been facing extreme hairless since the past 2 weeks. I had quite hair fall before too, but now it's gotten wag extreme. I feel I am going bald. I am also diabetic with now my sugars doing OK, but we're not OK for a while. I also changed cities, got a hair cut and now... I don't think I need a new one because I will be bald by then.

There can be several causes why your skin would turn dark or you may get pigmentation. Sun tan, overweight, pigmentation disorders like acanthosis nigricans or melasma, nutritional deficiency etc are some conditions. Unless someone examines you, we cannot know the cause. Unless we find out the cause it is difficult and pointless to treat. Please send photos with detailed history using online consult option for examination and proper treatment.,

Greetings. In women - several causes of unhealthy hair, hair fall and hair thinning can be identified. Importantly, anaemia, sudden weight loss or weight gain, hormonal issues including thyroid, recent illness, female pattern alopecia, vitamin deficiencies - to name a few. Stress, pollution and other environmental factors, parlour damage further add to hairfall. So please see a qualified dermatologist near you to understand, what could be the definite cause for hair fall in your case and try to rectify the same. Further queries may be sent on follow up messaging. Caution: Make sure you see a qualified MD / DNB/ DVD dermatologist for all your skin and hair issues. Do not be lured in by quacks. Know your treating doctor/ discourage quackery! Warm regards, Dr Govind Suresh Mittal, Bengaluru
