Hi. The nature, extent, duration, and grade of hair loss all need to be gauged properly by the dermatologist. A history with regards to diet, infections, autoimmune disorders, smoking, stress as possible causes all need to be addressed. A few blood tests may be needed after a thorough consultation with the dermatologist.
