H-Pylori infection and medication.
Hi this is my endoscopy report. H-Pylori is faintly positive still my doctor gave me only the following medicines: 1. Pyloflush 2. PPI I asked him whether I need a course of H pylori eradication (antibiotics). He says no. I was fine for a burger period of time. But, not my symptoms I.e motions, bad taste in mouth, burping, indigestion have come back. Do I need a second opinion?

If H. pylori is truly positive and symptoms persist, eradication therapy is generally recommended. Getting a second opinion is reasonable and appropriate.please consult with your respective doctors again.

If your report shows H. pylori positive (even faintly) and you are having recurrent symptoms like loose motions, bad taste, burping, indigestion, then in many cases eradication therapy (antibiotics + PPI) is recommended — especially when symptoms persist after initial treatment. But since symptoms have returned, a second opinion or confirmation test (stool H. pylori antigen / urea breath test) is reasonable before starting full eradication therapy. What you can do now: • Continue PPI before breakfast • Avoid spicy, oily, junk food, coffee, alcohol • Eat small frequent meals • Probiotics may help bloating If H. pylori is confirmed again, 14-day eradication regimen is usually required.
