Gum, chin damage
Dear Sir/Madam, I Am Having Lower Tooth Pain, When I Consulted Dentist The Doctor Said The Wisdom Tooth Is Coming Slowly And It Is Causing Pain. Also The Top Tooth Is Sharp And It Is Damaging The Lower Chin And Gum Area. Doctor Suggested To Grind The Sharp Area Of The Upper Tooth So Tat It Will Not Damage. Question Is: Whether Grinding Of Sharp Edge Is Ok? Will There Be Any Side Affects And Pain?

Reducing sharp edges of the teeth are sometimes very useful in reducing the constant banging of the teeth with the gums or cheeks.  Nothing wrong in filing a bit of tooth structure. Judicious filing will not.cause side effects,  excessive filing will cause some sensitivity.  God bless.

If wisdom tooth is erupting in abnormal way, it is advised to get it removed soon before it will give you trouble.. And slight grinding of sharp edge is ok...But more grinding will lead to sensitivity of tooth... So that u can go for slight grinding....

Yup what your dentist has suggested is absolutely correct as if the upper tooth not filed then it is very difficult for the pain to reduce as that upper wisdom tooth is causing regular hammering on erupting wisdom tooth. Please go ahead with your dentist advice.
