My canine tooth is loose and shaking likely due to an injury.i consulted a dentist who took an X-ray and found a small infection.he prescribed antibiotics (amoxicillin & Corsodyl mouthwash) to treat the infection.
Is tooth extraction a good option (I don't have any pain) ,and what are the best possible solutions for this situation ?

Hello
The tooth you are talking about is your deciduous tooth ( milk teeth) . It is infected and should be extracted as its permanent counterpart is already present so no need to worry
Next Steps
If you go for extarction then after extraction there will be a empty space. As it a front teeth then space closure is necessary. For that visit your dentist for different options for space closuser
I’m sorry to hear about your dental injury. A loose canine tooth resulting from trauma, accompanied by a minor infection, requires careful evaluation to determine the most appropriate treatment.
Some treatment options are :
Splinting: If the tooth is loose but the surrounding structures are intact, your dentist might recommend splinting. This involves attaching the loose tooth to adjacent stable teeth to allow the periodontal ligaments and surrounding tissues to heal and reattach.
Tooth Extraction:
•Indications: Extraction is typically considered when the tooth is severely damaged, the infection is extensive, or other treatments are unlikely to succeed.
•Pros and Cons: While extraction removes the source of infection, it leads to a gap that may require a dental implant, bridge, or denture to restore function and aesthetics.
Next Steps
Ensure you finish the full course of amoxicillin to effectively manage the infection. After completing the antibiotic course, revisit your dentist for re-evaluation. They can assess the tooth’s stability and determine if additional treatments, such as splinting or root canal therapy, are necessary.
Health Tips
Use the prescribed Corsodyl mouthwash as directed, and maintain good oral hygiene practices to support healing and prevent further infection.
Hello Good evening,
The xray image shows the teeth is fractured due to trauma/ injury and that's why it is shaking .
The best treatment would be removal of the teeth.
