Grade2 posterior horn of medial meniscus
I am a private school teacher.. I need to stand at least 8 hours a day.. Can I continue standing with this grade 2 degeneration of posterior horn medical meniscus because I don't want to do another job except teaching Is degeneration a common issue in old persons? what is the difference between meniscus degeneration and tear? I got this problem because I fell from my bike at rest. From that day onwards I'm getting mild pain while standing.. I have a habit of doing squats and side lunges. Can I continue doing squats and lunges

Avoid squats, dont stand for prolonged time, take  a break after 25mins sit for a while and then stand. Consult online/offline for proper assessment and treatment.

No , don't do that dynamic squats as before.but u have to start the static squats it will strengthen your quadriceps muscle

Side lunges could be tricky. Twisting activities are to be avoided. Cycling, loght weight leg presses(pain free ranges), swimming could be relatively reasonable strengthening exercises, in addition to Straightleg raises. If knee bending and straightening are painful see a physiotherapist and be guided by them.

don't stand for long periods of time or use some splint for that you need to get a proper assessment you need to start focusing on static strengthening exercises need to strengthen surrounding muscles so kindly get a proper assessment and start your healthy life
