Foods can't help much with avoiding Gestational hypertension. Arginine supplements and high protein diet is recommended to prevent growth restriction in the baby in cases with gestational hypertension. Good fluid intake is essential. Monitor the blood pressure twice daily if you already have gestational hypertension, and see a gynecologist for medicines and blood tests. Another modality that can help prevent early onset and progression of gestational hypertension is immunotherapy in the form of endothelial cell vaccines.
